Please note full attendance on all dates is required to receive your completion certificate. If you do not attend all sessions, you will receive a certificate only for the hours you completed, which will not be recognised by Yoga Alliance.

Program details:
Expect deep, juicy yin yoga classes and comprehensive practical instruction each day in an intimate environment.
Topics covered during the course include:
- The key principles of yin yoga
- Yin asana theory
- Effective use of props (e.g., blankets, bolsters, straps) and practicing yin yoga at the wall
- Teaching styles, class sequencing and theming, including take-home sequences used in the training
- Introduction to human anatomy & physiology from a yin perspective with a strong focus on fascia
- Introduction to Chinese Medicine meridian theory of the 12 main meridians including qi (chi, energy) and yin/yang
- The five elements, linking yin to chakra energy systems, myofascial trains and their relationship to yin yoga
- Meridian massage, some key acupuncture/pressure points and how to stimulate them
- Meditation daily practice
- Mantra chanting
- Pranayama (breath control) during the yin practice
- Yin yoga and pregnancy
- Teaching practice
Prerequisites:
This training is suited to yoga teachers who have completed any 200-hour yoga teacher training and who wish to begin teaching yin yoga. Regular practitioners of yin yoga who wish to deepen their practice and knowledge of yin yoga are also welcome.
You will receive a certificate at the end of the course for 50 hours of yin yoga teacher training. This program is recognised by YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) and counts towards Yoga Alliance’s RYT continuing education requirements.

09h00 – 11h00 Yin asana practice, meditation, pranayama, chanting
11h15-12h45 Lectures
12h45 – 14h00 Lunch break

100% payment is required to confirm your place. 50% of this payment is non-refundable.
For cancellations within five weeks or more of commencement date, all fees will be refunded less the non-refundable deposit.
For cancellations within four weeks of commencement date, no refund will be given.

Meet your teacher:
Gemma Vassallo
Gemma Vassallo was the Co-Founder of Earth to Fly Yoga Skool where she ran Yoga Alliance Certified 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Trainings in Paris, France.
Gemma began her yoga journey in Sydney, Australia, her home town. She studied vinyasa yoga with many internationally known teachers including Baron Baptiste, Nicole Walsh and Simon Park, and soon after discovered her passion for Yin Yoga. She later began studying Yin Yoga with Bernie Clark, Melanie McLaughlin and Tiffany Cruikshank, and has studied with Yin Yoga pioneer, Paul Grilley, in 2019. Gemma has completed 230 hours of yin yoga teacher training course study plus countless hours of practical teaching experience and self-study. Her experience also includes nutrition and wellness coaching. Gemma brings a wealth of knowledge with her to her trainings and delivers it in a fun, inspiring way.
