When I was a kid I was a gymnast and a dancer. I had a terrible injury at age 14 where I pulled out of a backflip and landed on the back of my head, ending up in a neck brace and with back problems that were to haunt me for many years.
I began practicing yoga in 2004. I fell in love with the practice more and more as my back started to heal, and I started teaching yoga in Sydney, Australia, my hometown. I quickly gained popularity and became an Ambassador for the yoga clothing company Lululemon Athletica within my first year of teaching.
Because of the nature of my injuries, I was intrigued by the human body and managing my own injuries, which comes through in my teaching. I studied Nutritional Medicine which included 2 years of anatomy study, which gave me a great foundation of knowledge on top of my yoga teacher training.
I enjoy a strong, fiery practice as I am a strong fiery person, and I love playing with arm balances, handstands and more! I have studied yoga with teachers such as Baron Baptiste (creator of Power Yoga), Chanel Luck and Simon Park (Shiva Rea senior teachers) and Nicole Walsh and I bring a unique modern flair to my classes. I have been privileged to practice with inspirational teachers including Ana Forrest, the creator of Forrest Yoga, Les Leventhal, Brian Kest, Sarah Powers, Melanie McLaughlin, Tara Stiles, Kerri Verna aka Beach Yoga Girl and many more.
I’ve had various health issues throughout my life, including multiple surgeries that led me towards a holistic lifestyle with a wholefood, organic diet.
After experiencing the effects of living this way, I created The Prana Bar, where I express my passion for wholefood smoothies and treats in a way that makes it fun and accessible for all to enjoy.
I moved to France in February 2014 and am now well established in Paris, teaching at some of Paris’ best studios. I run workshops and retreats in Paris and worldwide, and was blessed to have been featured on the cover of Esprit Yoga Magazine (2016)
