This 200 hour part-time teacher training from EARTH TO FLY YOGA is for you!
Gemma Vassallo and Tatiana Avila-Bouru have collaborated and created an opportunity to embark on a transformative journey, where you will learn not only how teach vinyasa and practice more intelligently, but understand how to live a yogic way of life for the modern day yogi. You will explore:

Sequencing is an important point for us as we believe it’s very important to respect our body and use what we call “vinyasa krama”, which means building a class step by step preparing the body to reach a peak posture.
This training is unique. You will have an empowering and life changing experience. You will have fun and connect with an amazing yoga community.
Yoga teacher training is not just about asana (postures). It is a deep journey of self discovery and creation, and you will make life-long friends on this program.
This part-time 200 hour teacher training is certified by Yoga Alliance and will allow you to teach internationally, anywhere the world!
All modules will be taught in English, please speak with us if you feel you need assistance with translation.

Meet your teachers
Gemma Vassallo – Lead Trainer
Gemma Vassallo has been practicing yoga since 2004 and began teaching yoga in Sydney, Australia, her hometown. She quickly gained popularity and became an Ambassador for the yoga clothing company Lululemon Athletica within her first year of teaching.
Due to many past injuries and surgeries, she became intrigued by the human body and managing her own injuries, which comes through in her teaching. She studied Nutritional Medicine which included 2 years of anatomy study, giving her a great foundation of knowledge on top of yoga teacher training skills.
Gemma moved to France in March 2014 and is now well established in Paris, teaching at some of Paris’ best studios. She runs workshops and retreats in Paris and worldwide, and was blessed to have been featured on the cover of Esprit Yoga Magazine (January 2016)
Gemma is proudly the first teacher in history to have taught yoga on the first level of the Eiffel Tower!
Gemma has studied yoga with teachers such as Baron Baptiste (Level 1 & Level 2, the creator of Power Yoga), Chanel Luck and Simon Park (Shiva Rea senior teachers) Nicole Walsh and Bernie Clark and brings a unique modern flair to her classes. She has been privileged to practice with inspirational teachers including Ana Forrest, the creator of Forrest Yoga, Les Leventhal, Brian Kest, Sarah Powers, Melanie McLaughlin, Tara Stiles, Kerri Verna aka Beach Yoga Girl and many more.
Gemma also has extensive experience as a Wellbeing Consultant in the corporate sector and she is a certified Wellness Coach.
Gemma brings a wealth of knowledge to her teacher training programs in a fun and inspiring way and is living her dream to empower and inspire individuals to take control of their own health and wellness.
Tatiana Avila-Bouru – Lead Trainer
Tatiana was born in Cannes, France.
Her understanding of working with the physical body began at an early age. At the age of 7 years old she was already competing all over France at rhythmic gymnastics competitions, an eventual and undoubted dance career opened up which began in France specializing in ballet and brought her the New York City.
To be specific it was at the globally known Merce Cunningham dance school that she went under guidance at the hectic and demanding world of dance allowed Tatiana to turn to vinyasa yoga practices in New York as a way to alleviate off the pressure.
After putting herself under intense daily practices with some of NYC best known teachers. It was in 2012 that she participated in the 200 RYT training at the Sonic Yoga in Hell’s Kitchen NYC.
Moving back to Paris that same year is where the teaching path began, followed by trainings at one of the best NYC yoga centers , Laughing Lotus Yoga center. Laughing lotus yoga marked the true and passionate style of teaching for Tatiana.
A lotus class can be defined as : uplifting, innovative and soulful journey. A practice steeped in the timeless traditions of yoga , and fused with music and divine inspiration.
Alexander Marvin Avila – Assisting and Adjustment Teacher
Alex was born in NYC. He speaks English, Spanish and, of course, French since becoming Parisien! At the age of 19, yoga seemed like a natural course for his life. After starting his personal practice at Yoga Vida in NYC, Alex has continued to be drawn to Vinyasa yoga practices .
It was a perfect choice to follow with his Jivamukti Teacher Training (300 hour) in India. He says:
“at first, yoga was just exercise for him, but with time and practice, he began to be interested by the spiritual aspects of yoga what some in our modern times might consider abstract .” I want ‘to keep my asana practice fun and intense while including ‘the spiritual teachings uplifting messages, mantras and meditation” You might also listen to some creative, groovy, funky music to spice up your practice!
Hands on experience :
In the Jivamukti method assisting and adjustments throughout the physical practice is an integral part of the experience of the class. Multiple Hours of teachings on hands on adjustments is a very important my part in the Jivamukti trainings in which Alex took participation in. “What we will touch upon is how to safely adjust your future students ,no’s and the yes ‘s of hands on approach and a lots more. My goal is leave every participant leaving very confident with spot on verbal and physical assisting knowledge.

Dr. Heather Moritz – Yoga Philosophy Teacher

Heather’s yoga journey began in 2002 after she attended a hot yoga class and experienced yoga’s life-changing potential for the first time. After receiving her 200-hour teaching certificate in 2003 from Corepower Yoga in Denver, Colorado, she moved to Australia to teach yoga and pursue a doctoral degree at the University of New South Wales. In 2010, Heather completed both her Ph.D. in English and a 500-hour advanced teaching certificate from BodyMindLife Yoga in Sydney.
Heather also served as General Manager of BodyMindLife Yoga from 2009- 2012. Her duties included managing the studio’s daily operations, teaching several classes per week, and designing six unique philosophy modules for the studio’s teacher training program.
Heather is trained in numerous yoga styles including Power, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga. She has studied with several elite teachers including Simon Borg- Olivier, Marc Holzman, Bryan Kest, Twee Merrigan, Sarah Powers, Shiva Rea, Jasmine Tarkeshi, and Nicole Walsh.
Heather’s love of yoga extends to her academic life where she continues her doctoral research into yoga practice and philosophy as a technology of the self. When she’s not teaching yoga or practicing her French, Heather enjoys writing, cooking, film, street art, and literature.
Andrew McGonigle – Yoga Anatomy Teacher
After originally training to become a doctor, Andrew moved away from western medicine to pursue a career as a yoga teacher, massage therapist and anatomy teacher.
Based in London, Andrew has been practicing yoga and meditation for 10 years and teaching strong, grounding, alignment based classes since 2009.
Andrew combines all of his skills to teach anatomy and physiology on Yoga Teacher Training courses across London and internationally.
He contributes monthly to Om Yoga & Lifestyle Magazine with his 360° Yoga anatomy feature.
His teachers include Hamish Henry, Paul Dallaghan, Eileen Gauthier, Kristin Campbell and Anna Ashby.
Faustine Cressot – Voice Trainer
“Born and raised in a musician family, I discovered my voice at 15 while singing in Parisian jazz clubs and it’s the opportunity to pass on my emotions and feelings to an audience which made it so important to me. After classical studies in Paris’ CRR (Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional) and jazz vocal training in the Conservatoire Nadia and Lili Boulanger, I had the chance to record for different talented jazz artists and to perform in places like the Olympia, the New Morning, the Duc des Lombards and many others thanks to great encounters.
My very first class of yoga was at the beginning of 2012, a little lost on the track of life, I’ve discovered a liberating, soothing and challenging practice that allowed me to find balance in my body and in my life. Being able to teach it to others became an evidence during the Expansion, Freedom & Voice teacher training from which I am now a certified 200H Vinyasa Yoga teacher. Your voice is your most powerful asset to be able to transmit your intention and love of yoga to your students but it is also a very sensitive and fragile part of us. Together we will discover your true voice and you will learn different tools to help you keep it safe and help it grow.

Ariane Albecker – Pre-natal Teacher
Ariane discovered Yoga ten years ago, as an exchanged student in Stockholm. The only words she could understand in swedish at that time were « Andas in, andas utt »; literaly : breathe in, breathe out. But the magic had reached her body and soul anyway! After that, she kept practicing Ashtanga Yoga for 5 years .
In 2012, Ariane achieved her Ashtanga/Vinyasa 200H TT in India with Heather Elton and Emil Wendel, discovering the beauty of yogic philosophy and early morning meditations. This TT opened her new doors and she started to teach creative and joyful Vinyasa Yoga classes. Seeking to find practical ways to alleviate sufferings through Yoga and to develop a more gentle approach to the practice, she get certified in Yin Yoga and Trauma Sensitive Yoga in the US in 2014.
In 2016, she graduated in prenatal Yoga with senior teacher and founder of Womb Yoga, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli in London, finding many new ways to nourish her practice and other women with joy and delight!
Ariane runs a Yoga YouTube channel for 3 years that gathers today more than 26 000 followers.
